September 11, 2020

An Area of Low Pressure is moving Westward across The Bahamas Producing Periods of heavy downpours and thunderstorms which will result in moderate to Severe Flooding in Flood Prone Areas.

MODERATE TO LARGE SWELLS GENERATED BY PAULETTE WILL BEGIN AFFECTING THE NORTH AND EASTERN SHORELINES OF THE MORE EASTERLY ISLANDS TONIGHT.

THEREFORE, MOTORISTS TRAVERSING COASTAL ROADS SHOULD DO SO WITH DUE CARE AS DANGEROUS SEA SPRAY AND BATTERING WAVES CAN REDUCE DRIVER’S VISIBILITY.

SMALL CRAFT OPERATORS SHOULD REMAIN IN PORT AND BEACHGOERS SHOULD STAY OUT OF THE WATERS THROUGH SUNDAY DUE TO MODERATE TO LARGE SWELLS AND RIP CURRENTS.

THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE INTO THE GULF OF MEXICO AND AWAY FROM THE BAHAMAS SUNDAY MORNING. PARTLY SUNNY AND DRIER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO RETURN ON MONDAY.
